Rupee at over 10-month low on large corporate dollar demand

The rupee extends losses to 62.7350

Mumbai: The rupee extends losses to 62.7350, its lowest level since February. 4 versus Friday's close of 62.29/30. Traders cite heavy demand from a large petrochemical firm helping the pair. Losses in local shares also aid gains in the pair. Asian currencies are mostly weaker vs dollar.

Index of the dollar against six majors is up marginally. Nifty is trading down 0.2 percent.

The pair is seen in 62.40-62.80 range for rest of the session.
