Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao asked to open NIMS at Bibinagar

Due to Corporate hospitals pressure NIMS inauguration delayed
Hyderabad: Senior Congress MLAs and former Ministers T. Jeevan Reddy and Komatireddy Venkata Reddy on Wednesday demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao immediately take steps to open the completed Nims super speciality hospital at Bibinagar, 40 km from the state capital city.
Speaking to newsmen here on Wednesday, they alleged that the government was hesitating to inaugurate the new hospital constructed and completed already due to pressure from the corporate hospitals in city.
They said if Bibinagar Nims comes into operation, several patients from north Telangana districts would get a major relief as the present Osmania, Gandhi and Nims hospitals located in the capital city are unable to meet the heavy rush of patients.
Though the Chief Minister had promised to open the hospital and begin the operations at Bibinagar Nims, it seems he is being pressurised by the corporate hospital lobby who fear losing their business, they said.
