Shoots are still on

T’wood, producers of big movies are not stopping shoots from taking place

The strike in Tollywood continues, but according to reliable sources, shoot are going on. During the last two days, the Film Federation Employees Organisation and the members from the Telugu film industry met with the Joint Commissioner of Labour as he called both the organisation for a meeting.

According to a source, the Labour Commissioner heard both parties’ arguments and asked them to come back on December 9. He pointed out that the Federation was conducting the strike in a wrong way.

Meanwhile the shoot of big films like the NTR Jr-starrer Temper and Venkatesh Pawan Kalyan starrer Gopala Gopala have been going on. Venkatesh’s film is being shot at Varanasi and NTR Jr’s film is in Hyderabad.

“The producers are getting private employees (not the federation employees) to complete the remaining work. Some producers have already announced the release date of their films and have also got dates from many actors.

It is not easy to get dates in the same combination again soon, so they are hiring private employees to complete their work,” says the source.

About the strike, a source says that while on one hand the producers are firm on their stand, on the other hand, the Federation employees too don’t want to compromise.
