It doesn’t really go down well with actor Benedict Cumberbatch when his female fans uninhibitedly call themselves “Cumberbit**es”, although it sounds funny and flattering. He has expressed his disapproval on this.
The 38-year-old actor, who recently got engaged and broke hearts of many female fans, said that though he knows that women are just trying to be cheeky but he still hopes the moniker doesn’t totally stick, People magazine reported.
Fans should give themselves more powers as women and shouldn’t just call themselves “bit**es”, he further added.
The Imitation Game actor further continued that the majority of the fans are smart, savvy and just trying to have fun, but it’s getting out there and sounds a bit “rude”.
Cumberbatch himself suggested some replacement terms like Cumbersomes, Cumbercollective, Cumberfans.
