How to get your OnePlus One handset in India this December

OnePlus One will be available in India via Amazon

OnePlus One, a new high-end smartphone brand is expected to enter the Indian market on December 2. Amazon has finally unveiled the OnePlus One handset on its shopping website.

However, OnePlus One will be marketing its handset with a twist and will be available only to a limited number of individuals. The company has set different ways to send invites to the ‘OnePlus One’.

As reported earlier, the company introduced the ‘#NeverSettle Contest for INDIA’. One had to just click a selfie displaying your #NeverSettle message. You can post statements like ‘#NeverSettle for less than the best.’ or “#NeverSettle for boring’ may just help you win the contest.

However, no more entries are allowed. Around 100 lucky winners among the posted pictures will get the right to buy this handset in India.

In order to get lucky for an invite by OnePlus One, you need to subscribe to its newsletter.

Claim an invite: Once you receive an invite, one needs to claim it on the OnePlus website by clicking on the link sent via email. This will redirect you to the OnePlus website where you can claim your invite by clicking on the CLAIM button. You can see the Invite Code and the validity of your invite.

Click on the ‘Buy’ option to add this handset to your cart by feeding in the unique registration code given by OnePlus One.

To place an order: On claiming the Invite Code, you can complete your purchase on the Amazon.in website as long as it is valid.

OnePlus One handset is equipped with 2.5GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Cyanogen 11S based on Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

The new entrant OnePlus One handset sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD JDI display with LTPS technology. On its camera front, it also boasts a 13MP Sony Exmor IMX214 rear camera, which comes with 6 physical lenses with f/2.0 aperture, which can capture photos even in low light conditions.

The company also stated that its 5MP front facing camera can click better selfies with its extra-wide 80-degree viewing angle. OnePlus One is also enabled with stereo recording and trimicrophone noise cancelling technology and is fuelled with a rechargeable 3,100mAh LiPo battery.
