LPG strike withdrawn by Bharat Gas workers

The dispute was over giving high range loads for certain lorries only

Kochi: The LPG strike launched by workers of Bharat Gas at the BPCL bottling plant at Karimugal on Tuesday morning was settled by evening following discussions held between the company officials, transporters and workers.

The dispute was over giving high range loads for certain lorries only. Following talks it was agreed to distribute high range loads equally to all 74 contractors’ carriers. A total of 16 lorries are operated by distributors from the plant to six districts in central Kerala, taking the total number to 90.
