Raipur: A teenager in a Chhattisgarh town was electrocuted while posing for a picture atop guard’s room of a goods train near Uslapur railway station on Sunday evening.
Ketan Poddar, 13, a resident of Bilaspur, was caught in the overhead electricity cables when he moved to the extreme end of roof of the guard’s room, hoping to give an “action” picture to post on Facebook.
Panicked over the gory sight of his death, his friends fled the spot leaving the body atop the guard’s bogie.
The matter came to light when police picked up two of his friends for interrogation following a missing report filed by the deceased’s friend.
The deceased got enthusiastic when a picture of his uploaded in his Facebook account got good response from his friends.
He asked his friends to accompany him to the spot to take some action oriented pictures of to get more ‘likes’.
