Bengaluru: A day after Mr Pramod Muthalik and other pro-Hindutva group leaders threatened to disrupt the Kiss of Love campaign in the city, the police moved swiftly on Monday and slapped Section 107 of the CrPC to prevent them from disturbing peace.
DCP (Central) Sandeep Patil said, “We booked the case as they were threatening to take law into their hands.” Asked whether the police department would give permission to the campaign, he said, “We have received the request from the campaign organisers, and we are getting it vetted by legal experts. A clear picture will emerge on Tuesday.”
