Saradha scam: CM Mamata Banerjee profited most, says Kunal Ghosh

Kunal Ghosh slammed his party supremo rally on Monday and described her as a “coward”

Kolkata: Trinamool chief and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday picked up from where she had left off two days ago and intensified her attack on the BJP, even as suspended party MP Kunal Ghosh arrested for his involvement in the Saradha scam accused her of profiting most from scam.

Addressing a mega rally organised to counter the alleged smear campaign carried out by the saffron party, Ms Banerjee threatened to “stall” the national capital by “taking people from Bengal to protest against the Centre’s anti-people policies.”

“Other parties are afraid, that is why they are silent. I dare the Centre to arrest me. Do not assume our silence as weakness. If you continue to show your eyes to us, then we will take people from Bengal to Delhi to protest against the Centre’s anti-people policies,” Ms Banerjee thundered.

The Trinamool supremo sharpened her attack on the BJP when she raised the black money issue and threatened to remove its mask.

“The BJP is spending thousands of crores on election campaigns,” she also claimed.

Ms Banerjee made it clear that she was forced to hit the streets as her patience ran out due to the continuous smear campaign by the BJP.

She asserted that infiltrators from Bangladesh must be given shelter in the country. "People who migrated to India from Bangladesh during Partition are legal citizens of India, not infiltrators. Bangladesh is our neighbour and like a sibling. Terrorists have no religion,” she said.

In his latest salvo Kunal Ghosh slammed his party supremo rally on Monday and described her as a “coward.”

He reiterated, “The Chief Minister was benefited the most from Saradha chit fund scam.” He demanded her face-to-face questioning with him by the CBI.
