Aussies find Varun Aaron too hot to handle in tour match

Speedster’s three-for help India dismiss Cricket Australia XI for 219

Glenelg: Pace bowler Varun Aaron took three wickets to help dismiss a Cricket Australia XI for 219 on Monday, putting India in control of its opening tour match.

The 25-year-old Aaron reveled in the pace and bounce at the stadium in Adelaide's beachside suburb of Glenelg, returning 3-72 in 17 overs on day one of the two-day match. Mohammad Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Karn Shama took two wickets each.

At stumps, India were 55 for the loss of one wicket, with Murali Vijay unbeaten on 32 and Cheteshwar Pujara on 13.

Shikhar Dhawan, who made a century on his Test debut last year against Australia at Mohali, was caught off Josh Lalor's bowling for 10.

India will play another two-day match ahead of the four-test series against Australia, which starts from December 4 in Brisbane.
