Chandrababu Naidu, KCR still stuck in politics, says Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya

'It will take some more time for them to come to a common understanding and resolve disputes'

Hyderabad: More than real issues it is politics playing a major role in the ongoing tussle between Telangana and AP governments, newly-inducted Union labour and employment minister Bandaru Dattatreya said on Saturday.

This is preventing the emergence of a solution and it will take some more time to break the ice between the two Chief Ministers. The 67-year-old Union minister, who is considered to be friendly to everyone including the warring CMs N Chandrababu Naidu and K. Chandrasekhar Rao said, more alai bhalais (meeting and talking) are needed between them and as a well-wisher to both he will take the initiative in this regard.

“I have no issues with them, in fact both the leaders have attended alai bhalai organised by me recently and even embraced each other. It will take some more time for them to come to a common understanding and resolve the disputes, Mr Bandaru told this newspaper in a brief interaction on Saturday.

While admitting there were a few defects while passing the AP Reorganisation Bill in Parliament during the UPA-II regime, the Union minister said the Centre cannot resolve the disputes or attend to complaints by both the states unless there is an agreement between them.
