Chennai: A series of special, super fast and premium trains have been introduced to manage the crowd during Sabarimalai festive season. A press release from the southern railway said that train No.00652 Kochuveli – Chennai Central premium super fast special train will leave Kochuveli at 9.30 pm on December 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25 and 28 December and reach Chennai Central at 11.40 am the following day. Another train Chennai Central – Kochuveli (No.00651) premium super fast special train will leave Chennai Central at 4.30 pm on December 8, 15, 22, 24 and 29 and reach Kochuveli at 06.20 am the next day. The trains will stop at Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town and Katpadi.
Train No.00653 Chennai Central – Kochuveli premium super fast special train will leave Chennai Central at 10.30 pm on 05th, 12th, 19th and 26th December and reach Kochuveli at 12.45 am the following day. Advance reservations for the above mentioned premium superfast special trains will commence 15 days before the date of service.Four super fast trains have also been introduced. Train No.06348 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central superfast special train will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 8.20 pm on December 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 and reach Chennai Central at 12.35 am the next day. Train No.06347 Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram superfast special train will leave Chennai Central at 6. 15 pm on December 4, 11, 18, 25 and January 1 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 11 am the next day.
The trains will stop at Kollam, Kayankulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Kaptadi and Arakkonam.Advance reservations for the above trains will commence on 13.11.2014.Train No.06352 Kochuveli – Chennai Central superfast special train will leave Kochuveli at 8. 20 pm on December 2, 9, 16 and 30 and reach Chennai Central at 12.35 am the next day.
Train No.06351 Chennai Central – Kochuveli superfast special train will leave Chennai Central at 6. 15 pm on December 3, 10, 17 and 31 December and reach Kochuveli at 11.00 am the next day.Advance reservations for the above trains will commence on 13.11.2014. Two special trains will be operated between Nagercoil and Mangalore. Train No.06306 Nagercoil – Mangalore Junction. special train will leave Nagercoil at 9 pm on December 14, 21 and 28 and reach Mangalore Jn. at 11.15 am the next day.
Train No.06305 Mangalore Jn. – Nagercoil special train will leave Mangalore Jn. at 1.30 pm on December 15, 22 and 29 and reach Nagercoil at 04.15 am the next day.The trains will stop at Eraniel, Kulitturai, Neyyatinkara, Thiruvananthapram, Kollam, Kayankulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur Jn., Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod. Advance reservations for the above trains will commence on 13.11.2014.
