Seven swine flu cases have hospitals on the toes

The doctors have asked them to procure Tami Flu and Star Flu from the open market

Hyderabad: One more case of swine flu was reported from Yakutpura in the Old City on Monday morning. A 24-year-old was admitted in the acute medical ward of Gandhi Hospital. Three days ago, her cousin sister had been admitted with swine flu but left the hospital without notice.

A senior doctor suspected that Monday’s victim contracted the illness from her cousin. Six more members of the family came for out-patient treatment as they were suffering from cold, cough and viral fever, he said.

The doctors have asked them to procure Tami Flu and Star Flu from the open market.

A senior doctor at Gandhi Hospital explained, “We have asked them not to leave without medical advice and completing the full treatment if they don’t want the rest of the family members to suffer.” In the last two weeks, seven cases of swine flu have been reported in the city.
