Watch: Arjun Kapoor returns as the angry young man in 'Tevar'

Tevar's slogan 'Attitude Dekh' is being highlighted as the essence of the movie

Mumbai: It all started with Arjun Kapoor's ruffian act in Gunday, and now we have the young Kapoor back in action on the silver screen.

The official trailer of Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer romance Tevar is finally making the rounds. The story is set against the vibrant backdrops of Agra and Delhi and throws the spotlight on Arjun who is all set to redefine the ‘angry young man’ title with his tevarrific avatar! Manoj Bajpai plays the role of Mathura's goon Gajendra Singh. He sets the premise by intercepting a political rally and telling the crowds that his bride-to-be has been kidnapped and unless she is found he will become the entire city's 'damaad'. What follows is a cat and mouse game coupled with Arjun Kapoor's spunk.

Sonakshi plays the damsel in distress while Arjun easily slips into the role of hot-blooded Pintu, a small-town guy who's the biggest fan of Salman Khan. And where there is Salman, there has to be loads of Tevar (attitude) right?
Tevar is a remake 2003 Telugu film Okkadu, directed by Amit Sharma and produced by Boney and Sanjay Kapoor. The film will release in early 2015 and Shruti Hassan has also performed an item song titled
Madamiya
.
The trailer is filled with Arjun’s stern stares and the whole attitude is impressive but it calls to mind his debut movie 'Ishaqzaade'. We could have expected a little more novelty in this one.
It has been an eventful year for Arjun Kapoor starting with Gunday, 2 States and finally rounding it up with a critic-friendly Finding Fanny. He can now afford a breather, and kick-start 2015 with the out and out masala film Tevar.
