CLP demands Jana Reddy to be dynamic to take on K Chandrasekhar Rao

People in Telangana feel that Congress leaders are not actively opposing the TRS
Hyderabad: The Congress Legislature Party, which met on Wednesday evening to devise strategies for the Telangana state Budget Session, wanted its leader in the Assembly K. Jana Reddy to be more aggressive and dynamic to take on Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Nalgonda MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy said at the CLP meeting that people in Telangana in general feel that the Co-ngress and its leaders are not actively opposing the TRS government’s anti poor measures.
He said the Congress being the main Opposition party should take the lead and attack the government more than other parties so that it could stand public scrutiny.
Several members present echoed the feeling and even said it would be better for Mr Jana Reddy to open the debate on the Budget and nail the TRS government. Mr Jana Reddy, who initially said he would participate in the debate at a later stage, finally agreed to initiate the de-bate and attack the government.
In a related issue, Kale Yadaiah, the Congress MLA from Chevella, who along with Dorna-kal MLA D.S. Redya Naik announced joining the TRS a few days ago, has reportedly returned to the Congress.
Efforts by Mr Jana Reddy and other senior leaders, who convinced Mr Yadaiah to change his mind is said to have worked. Mr Yadaiah on Wednesday participated in the protest programme organised by the Congress Legislature Party against the TRS government’s policies.
And also wore the black kanduva along with other MLAs. However, he did not attend the CLP meeting citing some personal work. When Mr Yadaiah was asked in the morning about the change of mind, he retorted “Did I ever announce that I am joining the TRS.”
