Allari Naresh is known for his comedy films, and his upcoming film Brother of Bommali is also a comedy. “The difference between this film and my earlier films is that this one has a proper story and focuses on the protagonist and his sister. The film is not all about sisterly sentiments, but is an all-out comedy,” says Naresh.
Karthika plays his sister and in this film she is a “rowdy” sister. “Generally the lead actor saves his sister from difficult situations, but in this film, my sister saves me from goons,” laughs Naresh.
He says initially the sister may dominate in film, but everybody gets equal importance. “We wanted a totally different kind of film, so the sister’s character was made long and strong,” he says. In the film the sister creates a few problems and Naresh solves them.
In this film Brahmanandam plays a cook and Naresh says that the scenes with him are hilarious. Brahmanandam’s name in the film is Kona Venkat, a popular Tollywood writer’s name.
“Brahmanandam has played many popular roles with names such as McDonlad Murthy, Pulka, Bobby and Jayasurya.
In this film his name is Kona Venkat and before using the name, we got permission from Kona Venkat and he agreed happily,” he says.
The actor says that he has done many spoofs and satires in all his earlier films. “From this film onwards I want to stop the spoofs and satires on others for a few years.
People expected some kind of spoof from me and we forced them in my films. But I have decided not to do spoofs anymore and instead have a proper entertaining story for my films,” says Allari Naresh.
Sudigadu which was released few years back has been Naresh’s highest grosser. After that film, people have been expecting more from Naresh. “My last three films didn’t do well and I learnt my lessons.
I never regret doing any film. If it fails at the box office, I treat it as a learning experience,” he says.
The actor says that he definitely wants to direct a film in the near future. “Right now I am busy with my films. I am writing a script and it may be ready by 2017. Then I will direct, but I don’t want to act in it. I want to take a new face or any other actor,” he says.
Talking about his upcoming films, he says he is doing Bandipotu with Indraganti Mohankrishna and another film with Anil Sunkara.
Apart from these he is listening to stories from different writers for his 50th film.
