The Minster was answering to questions raised by citizens at a public grievance

Bengaluru: Home Minister K.J. George has urged the school managements to take up safety measures to prevent sexual assaults of children and assured that action will be taken against culprits as per the law.

“This is not a Banana Republic, we cannot order for encounters of the rapists. One has to abide with the laws of the land, and the law will take its own course to bring the culprits to book,” he remarked.

The Minster was answering to questions raised by citizens at a public grievance meeting that was held at Bunt’s Bhavan on West of Chord Road in Vijayanagar on Friday. Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi, senior BBMP and police officials were also present.

“These incidents are taking place inside the school. I request the school managements to take precautionary measures to ensure that such incidents do not happen anymore. The staff and parents of every school going children should conduct meetings periodically to ensure safety of their wards,” he added.
