Silver futures down 0.58 per cent on weak global cues

Silver prices eased by 0.58 percent to Rs 38,051 per kg in futures trade

New Delhi: Silver prices eased by 0.58 percent to Rs 38,051 per kg in futures trade on October 30 as speculators reduced holding on the back of weak cues from global markets. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December declined by Rs 222, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 38,051 per kg in a business turnover of 1,583 lots.

Similarly, the white metal for delivery in March next year traded lower by Rs 223, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 38,758 per kg in 17 lots. Market analysts said speculators reduced holding on the back of weak cues from the global market which kept pressure on silver prices at futures trade. Meanwhile, silver traded 0.12 per cent lower at USD 17.07 an ounce in Singapore on October 30.
