Two dies as government Doctors protest

No doctor was present at the PHC on either day

BENGALURU: Protests by government doctors, claimed their first victims on Tuesday when a ten-year-old in Gudemaranahalli in Kudlur, Ramanagar district died of high fever and a middle-aged man in Hassan from a heart attack. Neither could avail of medical aid.

Ramya, studying in the fourth standard, suffering from high fever was taken to the hospital on Monday and Tuesday. No doctor was present at the PHC on either day.

Babuji, a jeweller in Sakleshpur, suffered a mild heart attack. Rushed to a local hospital where there were no doctors, he died on his way to a hospital in Hassan.
