29-year-old Brittany Maynard who chose death date fulfills bucket list

Brittany Maynard plans on legally ending her life on November 1
Brittany Maynard is making the most of her last days on Earth by turning some of her lifelong dreams into a reality.
The 29-year-old brave woman who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer has made headlines for her controversial decision to willingly end her life on Nov. 1. Since her talked-about annoucement, she has been advocating for death with dignity legislation and going on adventures across the United States, according to reports.
And this week, Maynard did "her last hurrah" by visiting the Grand Canyon. The brunette blogger had taken the unforgettable trip with her family including her mother and husband. "This week, my family and I traveled to the Grand Canyon, thanks to the kindness of Americans around the country who came forward to make my "bucket list" dream come true," wrote Maynard in her blog post on her website. "The Canyon was breathtakingly beautiful, and I was able to enjoy my time with the two things I love most: my family and nature."
Earlier this year, Maynard was diagnosed glioblastoma, which is the deadliest form of brain cancer. The wife, who is married to husband Dan Diaz, moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Portland, Oregon because that state is one of five in the U.S. that have death with dignity laws.
Known as a seasoned world traveller, Maynard has visited Alaska and Yellowstone National Park in recent months. In the video that she made explaining her decision to end her life, Maynard mentioned wanting to see the Grand Canyon before passing away.
"I hope to enjoy however many days I have on this beautiful Earth and spend as much of it outside as I can surrounded by those I love," said Maynard in the clip.
The young woman's decision to end her life has sparked another heated debate on right to die laws. Initially, Maynard said she chose Nov. 1 as the date to possibly end her life to celebrate her husband's birthday with him one last time on Oct. 26. Since then, she said she will make a final decision on when to end her life based on the progression of her disease.
