Police suspect depression could have been the reason for suicide

Hyderabad: Three women attempted suicide at their house in AP Text Book Colony on Friday. While one succumbed to burns the others are being treated. The victims, a mother and her daughters, were identified as
Kavitha, 40, Bhavana, 18, and Vaishnavi, 16. SI Ram Mohan Reddy said that Kavitha’s husband Dinesh and his brother Naresh were running a jewellery store. Kavitha said that Dinesh refused to give money. “She was depressed and attempted suicide by pouring kerosene. Seeing that, her daughters also followed her. Bhavana succumbed,” said Mr Ram Mohan Reddy.
A case was registered. Cops said depression is suspected to be the reason. Meanwhile, a property dispute is suspected to have led to the attempt.
