Alleged BJP supporters vandalise coffee shop in Kerala

Police said that this is a case of moral policing

Kozhikode: A group of supposed BJP supporters vandalised a popular coffee shop, Downtown, in Kozhikode by destroying its windows and furniture.

According to reports, the activists told police that they are members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and that they are campaigning against “immortal activities” in restaurants and coffee shops.

Police said that this is a case of moral policing, since the shop would stay open till late night and was popular with youngsters, especially from Indian Institute of Management and National Institute of Technology.

A video tweeted by Congress leader Ajay Maken shows the activists carrying BJP flags.
