Dasari Narayana Rao targets Ram Charan?

The producer didn't name Ram Charan, but his sharp comments were directed at him

Hyderabad: Senior director and producer Dasari Narayana Rao is once again in the news because of a controversial comment and this time he seems to have targeted Ram Charan. Dasari was a special guest at a promotional event for Lakshmi Rave Maa Intiki a small film produced by Giridhar. On this occasion, Dasari spoke about small films and small actors and said that today small films are suffering in the hands of goondas.
“Today the film industry is not in a good position. Many producers are completing their films, but are unable to release them, because of the non-availability of theatres,” he says. He cited the example of Loukyam.
“Loukyam is a good film and showed promise. However, after five days, a big hero’s big film was released and Loukyam was removed to make way for it. The big hero’s film was a flop and disappeared from the theatres after three days. Loukyam was then brought back into the theatres. Needless to say, collections from Loukyam were high,” says Dasari. Though he didn’t mention the name of the film or hero, it is common knowledge that Ram Charan’s film Govindudu Andarivaadele was released shortly after Loukyam.
