Jayalalithaa has many admirers across country: Ms Gandhi
Maneka Gandhi pledge her support and sympathy to Jayalalitha,while Rajinikanth said that he was glad to see former chief minister back at her residence
Chennai: Cinema’s ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth on Sunday said that he was ‘very glad’ to have AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa back at her Poes Garden residence. The actor also lives in the same neighbourhood. In a letter addressed to the former Chief Minister, Rajinikanth said: “I am very glad to have you back in Poes Garden. Praying for good times for you, always wishing you well for good health and peace.”
He signed off wishing Jayalalithaa ‘Happy Deepavali’.Union Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi also wrote to the former Chief Minister pledging her support and sympathy. “This is just to let you know that I am deeply sorry that this has happened. You have my support and sympathy and if there is anything I can do to make this time less onerous, I would be happy to do it,” she said.
Ms Gandhi urged Jaya to take care of her health and remember that she has many admirers across the country. “You have been through a great deal of suffering in your life and it is remarkable how you have always managed, through discipline and courage, to overcome the odds against you,” she said in the letter released by AIADMK. Gandhi told Jayalalithaa she was sure that this ordeal will be over soon. “We will see you formally back at the helm of administration again.” had prayed for her release.
