BJP celebrates poll win in Maharashtra, Haryana

Party men bursted crackers, distributed sweets to the public at Telangana Chowk
KARIMNAGAR: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cadres erupted in joy on hearing to news about the party’s triumph in the general elections in Maharashtra and Haryana on Sunday.
They fired crackers and distributed sweets among themselves and to the public at the Tower Circle and Telangana Chowk in Karimnagar city.
The rank and file of the saffron party were found jubilant as news channels aired the results of the polls in the two states. “The victory is due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s performance and his team’s governance,” said Meesa Arjun Rao, BJP district president.
A large number of party activists gathered at Telangana Chowk and celebrated the victory. They raised slogans hailing Mr. Modi and danced to drum beats. They also distributed sweets to the public. Similar celebrations were witnessed in Adilabad and Nizamabad districts and other places in Telangana on Sunday morning.
