Strike affects Puri Jagannath, NTR Jr film

The film was supposed to release on January 9, 2015

Hyderabad: The ongoing strike in the Telugu Film Industry has affected the shooting of several films. Non-acceptance of the revised pay hike for the Film Federation Employees is the cause for the shutdown of shootings.

It is expected that the strike will be called off on Monday as talks between the AP Telugu Film Federation and Producers Council were on.

The Puri Jagannath and NTR Jr film that was supposed to start shooting in Goa may be delayed further because of the strike. This is a big disappointment for NTR Jr as, after a string of flops, he was looking forward to this film releasing on schedule.

The film was supposed to release on January 9, 2015. However just after a few days of shooting, work was stopped due to some financial problems. Once that was sorted, shooting started again only to come to a halt because of the strike.

The scheduled release for Sankranti is doubtful. “The actor has assured the director that he will work non-stop to complete the film once the strike is called off,” says a source.
