Nexus, considered as the most compatible Android-based smartphone by Google, ensures the users that he or she will get the first updates of any new operating system that Google rolls out.

Google unveiled the latest Android operating system, the Android L earlier this year. Finally, on October 15, they announced the launch of Android 5.0 Lollipop and Nexus device users will be the first ones to get them on their devices. Nexus users enjoy the first priority and access to the latest Android platforms before any other brand implements them into their smartphones. Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 users will be the first ones to get a first-hand experience on the smartphones.
Apart from Nexus users, Motorola has also announced the availability of Lollipop upgrade for its selective handsets. The official website of Motorola has listed down the Moto x, Moto G, Moto X (Gen 2), Moto G (Gen 2), Droid Ultra Droid Maxx, Droid Mini , Moto G with 4G LTE, Moto E for the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade.
You just need to log in to the Motorola website, select the outlet you purchased your Motorola device from and submit your smartphone model number.

Android 5.0 version of Lollipop can ensure a much better security, as it helps one in pairing the smartphone/tablet to your watch or car, using the Smart Lock feature. The visual elements on Google’s Material design sports detailed visual elements for easier navigation on your device. Lollipop users will also be able to secure their smartphone/tablet with the improvised password pattern. The company also claims that the battery saver feature can extend the battery life of devices up to 90 minutes.
