Hyderabad: An IPS official Anand Kulkarni sustained bullet injuries while he was undergoing firing training in Vikarabad of Rangareddy district near Hyderabad on Thursday morning.
According to Vikarabad DSP Mr P Narasimhuly the incident took place while the SP was practicing the firing. Narasimhulu said,"Kulakarni SP railways was among 36 IPS who are undergoing training in Vikarabad. SV National Police Academy has been conducting the training for the past few days. He suffered bullet injuries on the head near eyebrow. He was initially shifted to area hospital and from there shifted to Hyderabad for better treatment,"
The DSP said,"SP vomited due to which doctors advised brain scan. We are yet to ascertain whether it is a dummy bullet or pellet or a bullet."
