Guntur: Work on the Outer Ring Road, from China Kakani to Gundagolanu via Navuluru, Venkatapalem, Gollapudi, Nunna, China Avutapalli has started at Venkatapalem of the Guntur district.
Once it is completed, the immediate impact would be felt in Vijayawada city, as the National Highway traffic that goes through it, will be diverted.
According to the NHAI, the land acquisition process was recently completed hence the work began.
According to NHAI, the ORR project will cost Rs 1624 crore and it will be completed in 30 months.
A 3.5 km long bridge will be built at Venkatapalem across the Krishna River and it will connect Gollapudi of Krishna district on the other side.
