Mumbai: Actress Sridevi has sent a legal notice to Ram Gopal Verma for naming his upcoming movie, Sridevi. The notice claims that after learning the title of RGV’s film had been changed from “Savitri” to “Sridevi”, Boney Kapoor tried to contact the director seeking an explanation.
But RGV simply replied with an WhatsApp text, sending a press release. Not happy with the explanation, the notice says, “The title is bound to make the public at large believe that the film is associated with Sridevi.”
“Our client has already suffered considerable embarrassment due to the queries being raised to her regarding the title. Cease and desist from using the name,” it said.
