Sickles and bombs seized from Chennayapalem

Guntur: The Machavaram police on Wednesday seized four kerosene bombs and dozen sickles from the farm fields of Saraswati Cements in Chennayapalem village of Machavaram mandal.

Earlier on Tuesday, villagers and cement company supporters clashed with each other over the clearing of farm fields by removing cotton crop and police controlled the situation by night. The police led by circle inspe-ctor G. Sridhar Reddy conducted searches in the farm fields and seized a dozen sickles and four kerosene bombs.
