Missing family case solved, 5 skeletons exhumed

The bodies were buried in the compound of a school
Anantapur: The mystery surrounding a family missing for about one-and-a-half years was solved after the police exhumed five skeletons, of a couple and their three young children, buried in the compound of a school in Kadapa district.
The deceased have been identified as Sudhakar Issac, his wife Mounika, daughters Angel and Pavithra, and son Raju. Sudhakar was the son of Rajaratnam Issac, who runs the Zion School in the district.
Kadapa SP Naveen Gulati revealed that Sudhakar had suspected Mounika of having an extra-marital affair. He paid Rs 25 lakh to hired killers to kill his wife and her friends. But the plan failed, and he killed his wife himself in their house on the Zion School campus on February 22, 2013. With the help of his close aide and driver C. Ramanjineyulu Reddy, Sudhakar buried her body on the school premises.
The three children were being taken care of by Ramana Reddy, the school headmaster. However, when the headmaster said that he would not be able to take care of the kids for long, Sudhakar strangled them on April 19 and buried them next to his wife. Later, he committed suicide by hanging himself.
Ramanjineyulu informed Rajaratnam about the death of Sudhakar and the three children. The SP said Rajarathnam directed the driver to bury Sudhakar’s body alongside the children’s bodies on the school premises. When Sujatha, Mounika’s mother, got suspicious, she lodged a complaint with the Kadapa police. During the investigation, Ramanjineyulu confessed and the police exhumed the skeletons on Tuesday.
Mr Gulati said Rajaratnam had fled and was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. He said Rajaratnam would be arrested. “Our teams have gone to Chennai to detain Rajarathnam,” the SP said.
