The selfie mono pod is a rod that can be used to mount your camera on one end and after adjusting the length, one can ensure that no one is missed out in the snap.

This has made life easier for many, like Sohrab, a businessman. “The selfie pod was gifted to me by a friend who got it from Hong Kong a couple of weeks back. I’m basically known as the one person in the group who can’t stand still for photographs. My friend told me that this will make life easier for me,” he laughs adding, “Ever since I have got it, many of my friends have borrowed it from me for parties or weddings. One actually tried to steal it.”

Meanwhile, Saawan Kabalabai, a working professional, actually had to deal with the glares of many when he first went out with the selfie mono pod in his hands.

“The first time I got it, people started complaining. They thought I was obsessed with clicking selfies. But slowly, they got interested and started asking me about it. I was at a restaurant one day and a stranger walked up to me and asked where I got it from,” he says.

The answer to it, like many other things these days, is the Web. “I ordered it online four months ago. The mono pod even comes with a Bluetooth clicker, where you can adjust the length and then via Bluetooth you can click the photograph. I paid just '1,500 for both the products,” says Ankit Pansari, who managed to click a photo with a group of about 20 people all thanks to the mono pod.

“I then share the images on my Instagram account too and even there, I have had several queries about the mono pod,” he adds.
