Man’s torso found in Kalasipalyam in Bengaluru

Incident came to light around 10 pm when passersby noticed body part & raised an alarm

Bengaluru: The torso of a man aged around 30 was found near Ayyappa temple in Kalasipalyam police station limits on Friday night. The police suspect that after murdering the man, his assailants abandoned the torso near the temple. The police believe that the man was murdered on Thursday late night or Friday morning.

The incident came to light around 10 pm when passersby noticed the body part and raised an alarm. The police rushed to the spot and found the head and limbs missing on the body. They searched the spot and surrounding areas and found legs in a bag dumped in a nearby area. The police are now searching for the missing head and hands of the body.

“All the police stations in the city and nearby districts have been alerted to trace the remaining parts of the body. Efforts are on to establish the identity of the deceased. Also, we are verifying if any missing complaint has been registered in neighbouring police stations which may help us identify the deceased,” the police said. Kalasipalyam police have registered a case and probe is underway.
