Tirumala, hallmark of spirituality

Tirupati pilgrimage must for every Hindu at least once in their lifetime
Tirumala: “Venkatadri Samam Sthanam Brahmande Naasti Kinchanah, Venkatesa Samo Devo Na Bhootho Na Bhavisyati.” There is no place in the whole Universe that equals Venkatadri, the holy abode of Lord Venkateswara nor is there any God equal to the Lord, ever in the past or in the future. Tirumala, always referred to as the “Bhuloka Vaikuntam”, the most exalted pilgrim centre of Hindus radiating great spiritual aura. Lord Venkateswara is the Redeemer, the Refuge and the Goal for people, who arrive in millions to have a mere glimpse of the Lord for a few seconds.
The very sight of the Lord strikes the devotees with an inexpressible sense of awe and devotion and provides a communion with the almighty who provides them solace. Millions of devotees from across the globe reach the holy hill shrine every year to gain that spiritual experience which instils veneration that is totally exclusive to the pilgrimage to Tirumala. The eternal answer as to what makes the Lord so special lies in his mystic manifestation. As the visiting devotees reach the sanctum sanctorum, the glittering rays in the serene darkness radiated by the steadily burning ghee lamps exudes divine charm and one to a world of heavenly joy.
The self manifested deity – ‘Swayambhu’ – in a standing posture is a splendid specimen of the Divya Manohara Murthy. The most fascinating feature of the Lord is the permeating aura of an overpowering sense of divinity. His facial expression beaming with joy and the divine smile is extraordinarily tranquil, reflecting a sense of complete love for the devotees.
Every devotee as he enters the temple with folded hands and with utmost devotion amidst the chanting of Om Namo Venkatesaya, experiences eternal bliss and loses himself to the imposing Lord as he surrenders to his lotus feet. As the devotees are immersed in the ocean of devotion, the mind is at peace and tranquillity surrounds one and all.
