Hollywood style film city planned

5,000 acres to be allotted, Krishna to be on the Board

Hyderabad: A Tollywood cinema city, on 5,000 acres, will be set by the Telangana state government. The cinema city will be modeled on the Hollywood-style theme parks. This was announced by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at a private hospital in the city on Saturday.

The CM reiterated his earlier stand of developing another film city in the state and said that veteran Telugu superstar Krishna would be the board member for the new film city. Mr Rao also talked of his own fondness for the star. Krishna in turn complimented Mr Rao by saying, “The new film city is a very good decision taken by the Chief Minister and it must be named after him. Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao's decisions so far have been very good for the state. The state is going to attain the No. 1 position under his leadership.”

The state government expects that once the IT Investment Region is developed, the population of Hyderabad may go up by one crore.
