Hyderabad: On Wednesday the Internet was abuzz with a seemingly innocent Tweet that tennis star Roger Federer sent out to his fans in India: I need some help from my supporters in India. I’m only in Delhi for a few days, so can’t visit all amazing places that I’d like... Maybe you guys could help #PhotoshopRF? Show me where I should visit and I'll retweet the best pics!”
Roger’s “supporters in India” wasted no time as they got their grey cells working and ended up with a photo compilation that had people from around the world applauding and the Twitterati in a frenzy.
The results were both hilarious and beautiful as people Photoshopped Roger playing holi, riding a rickshaw, shaking a leg with Deepika Padukone in Ram-Leela and the cast of Om Shanti Om, trying his hand at cricket and even striking a pose next to the Buddha statue at Tank Bund. While people from different countries started posting photos of how they would have Photoshopped him if he was in their countries, Federer had only one thing to say to his fans in India: “You guys are so creative… It’s been amazing and so entertaining looking through #PhotoshopRF”
