Talks force China pull back troops in Ladakh

Chinese troops had started withdrawing from the Chumar area
New Delhi: The New Delhi talks at the highest levels Thurday seem to have cooled tensions at the border in Ladakh, with reports late in the evening indicating that Chinese troops had started withdrawing from the Chumar area, marking an end to the faceoff between troops of both countries.
There were indications that tensions between Chinese and Indian troops at Chumar, Ladakh, had begun easing by Thursday, with suggestions that both sides may have started pulling back, but there was no official word from the Army. There were indications that the distance on the ground between troops on both sides, locked in a faceoff for the past few days, had increased, marking a pullback to previous positions. China had been constructing a road on their side of the LAC.
