Mumbai: He may come from a long line of Bollywood actors who’ve excelled at showing off their muscles and most macho avatars on the big screen.
However, so far Abhay Deol was content to let his dimples do the talking.
Romantic, humorous and even dramatic characters have been how Abhay has chosen to show off his acting chops.
But it seems like his legacy as a member of the Deol family is finally catching up, as he takes on an all-out action role in his next film, SNAFU (a military term that means “Situation Normal All F***ed Up”).
The actor recently filmed an action sequence that was shot inside a mall in the city of Pune — and just like his uncle Dharmendra and cousins Sunny and Bobby Deol, he nailed the stunts without any hiccups.
Abhay told us, “I have done a little bit of cable work in the past for Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. where I had a flying sequence and later, for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. But yes, I have not done such intense action where I was working continuously on it for seven days. It is hard work, but I like doing it and I’m enjoying it. And then I’m working with Vijayan Master (of Dabangg and Bodyguard fame), he is one of the best in action sequences.”
