Self styled godman Nithyananda potency interim report given to CID

Nithyananda was on drugs before he appeared for the potency test
Bengaluru: The interim potency test reports of self styled godman Nithyananda who is facing a rape case, were handed over in a sealed envelope by the medical team of Victoria Hospital to CID officials on Monday evening. The reports were submitted to the investigating officer- Deputy superintendent of police (DySP) of CID, Lokesh at about 5:30 pm.
The medical team which initially said that the results will be submitted in 48 hours, took more than a week to submit the results for various reasons. Initially the doctors claimed that laboratory reports got delayed but later, when certain sections of the media reported that the doctors were not ready to sign the potency reports to avoid legalities, medical superintendent, T. Durganna came to their rescue and rubbished the allegations. "There is no problem among doctors in signing the reports. The delay was due to the laboratory results that apparently came in late" Mr Durganna told Deccan Chronicle.
"One among the panel of doctors, the medical superintendent of the Nephro-Urology unit has been slapped with a legal notice by Nithyananda's advocates. I have no idea what the legal notice is all about. But our legal team will reply to that notice" Mr Durganna reiterated.
Sources said the doctors have been accused of showing porn material to the godman while he underwent the tests. The investigating officer has been accused of being present when the godman was being counselled for potency tests. Mr Durganna rubbished this and said "These are baseless allegations that have been made against the doctors and are tactics for diverting attention from the case. As far as the tests which the godman failed to undergo are concerned, we have mentioned this in the report. We have submitted the interim reports to the investigating authorities. They will submit them to the court which will decide what needs to be done next" added the medical superintendent.
Sources also claimed that Nithyananda was on drugs before he presented himself for the potency test on September 8. Meanwhile CID officials chose to remain silent and several calls made to them went unanswered.
