Orkut officially shuts down on September 30
Mumbai: Google Inc will shut down its early social-networking service, Orkut, which was launched 10 years ago but has failed to put Google ahead in what has become one of the Web's most popular businesses. September 30 is the date when Orkut will officially logg off from the face of Internet.
Orkut is widely used in Brazil and India. The company declined to say how many users Orkut has.
