Gold rises on signs of more buying

Gold rose 0.3 per cent to USD 1,236.63 an ounce

London: Gold on September 16 rose for the second day on speculation prices near an eight-month low will spur more buying as the Federal Reserve begins a two-day policy meeting. Gold rose 0.3 per cent to USD 1,236.63 an ounce. It fell to USD 1,225.67 on Semptember 15, the lowest since January 9, before rebounding. Silver also added 0.2 per cent to USD 18.72 an ounce. It reached USD 18.46 on September 12, the lowest since June 28, 2013.
