Mr Rama Rao reacted strongly to S. Jaipal Reddy’s comments against KCR
Hyderabad: IT minister K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday unveiled an action plan to convert all the gram panchayat administration in Telan-gana into electronic governance by using the latest technologies.
Speaking at a function on Saturday, the minister said that from November 1, payment of pensions would be done through electronic governance in 2,009 gram panchayats out of 8,800 in the state.
Meanwhile, Mr Rama Rao reacted strongly to former Union minister S. Jaipal Reddy’s comments against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Mr Reddy had alleged that the brand image of Hyderabad was going down due to Mr Chandrasekhar Rao’s objectionable comments and actions.
Mr Rama Rao said, “If at all there was some dent to the brand image of Hyderabad or Telangana it was done by the previous Congress regime with their scams and corruptions, several IAS officials and politicians were put behind the bars and facing serious charges.”
“Do they enhance the brand image of Hyderabad,” he asked. “We may use the services of cable operators as part of e-governance, and in the first phase we decided to move all the necessary soft and hardware to the gram panchayats,” he said.
“Once we convert the panchayats into electronic governance there shall be single stop shops start functioning in the villaiges where people can make use of all the government related services at a single place',” he added.
Under this all payments to NREGS beneficiaries, and to the pensions will be made at single stop shops. Meanwhile, Mr Rama Rao reacted strongly to former Union minister S. Jaipal Reddy’s comments against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Mr Reddy had alleged that the brand image of Hyderabad is going down due to Mr Chandrasekhar Rao’s objectionable comments and actions.

“Do all these enhanced the brand image of Hyderabad,” he added. He said Chief Minister KCR has promised corruption free governance in the new state and there has been not a single
allegation so far on the government on corruption front.
