Hyderabad: Ravi Babu has made a sequel Avunu 2 to his earlier film Avunu. The first one was a big hit and it paved the way for a new trend films with limited budget that yielded good profits.
Avunu was a thriller and Ravi Babu is making the sequel with the same lead pair, Harshavardhan Rane and Poorna, who acted in the first one. Both the actors tasted success with the first one and the hope is that similar success will repeat with the sequel.
Poorna, earned a lot of critical acclaim for her character and hopes that the sequel will do wonders for her, giving her the break that she is looking for. According to a source, director Ravi Babu is also playing an important character in the film. Sanjjanaa’s cameo in the film is also interesting.
The shooting of the movie has been completed and the post production work will start soon to meet the unit’s planned Diwali release date.
