A quick 5 with Gourov Dasgupta

Multitalented musician Gourov Dasgupta’s hands are full with work

Caught up with four new Bollywood projects, many new ads, India’s first ever official guitar album Melting the Design and his projects with Superbia, Gourov Dasgupta sure needs all his favourites to unwind.

So we ask him the top five tracks that do the trick for him, and here’s what he listed. But before you read the list, be warned, the rockstar lists some heavy stuff here:

The Story of Light by Steve Vai: Steve is my favourite musician/artiste/guitarist and this is his last offering, so is there any better way to get inspired?

Queen Babylon by Winger (from the album Better Days Comin): This one’s from the artiste’s latest album. This is one of my favourite bands of all time. And though Winger is sadly underrated, the band is one of the most technical and melodic bands from the 80’s.

Practical Arrangement by Sting (from the album The Last Ship): Sting is probably one of the finest songwriters of our times and I can listen to anything from his catalogue any given time. And this one’s a beauty from his last album.

Dread and the Fugitive Mind by Megadeth (from the album The World Needs a Hero): My favourite band. Keeps me going. Period.

Prey for Me by Korn (from the album Paradigm Shift): This is an amazing track from their latest album with the original line-up and ensures an adrenaline rush all the way!
