Bellamkonda Suresh in deep debt?

Recent reports about Bellamkonda Suresh attempting suicide spread like wild fire

Hyderabad: On Sunday evening, a rumour that spread like wild fire in the Tollywood fraternity was that producer Bellamkonda Suresh has attempted suicide.

According to the grapevine, a few Tollywood filmmakers had met up at a producer’s house for dinner and one of them had got a call confirming the suicide attempt.

News is Bellamkonda Suresh is in deep debt, up to Rs 60 crore, because a few of his recent films, the latest being NTR-starrer Rabhasa, were big flops.

Bellamkonda Suresh reportedly owes Rs 25 crore to Multidimension, a production house that finances and distributes films. This company is said to be a part of Karvy.

Rumour is, there was pressure from Multidimension to pay up the debt and Bellamkonda Suresh even offered to give them the rights of his next, under-production venture in lieu of this debt.

When contacted, Ram Mohan Rao, who is looking after the films division of Multidimension, denied pressurising the producer. He said, “We have been working together and doing business for the last couple of years. He is in a bit of financial problems, but he will overcome. Not a big issue.”

‘Baseless rumours, don’t believe them’

Meanwhile, when contacted, Bellamkonda Suresh laughed off the rumour and denies being under pressure. “In the cinema field, I have seen many hits and few flops. These are baseless rumours, don’t believe them,” he said. The producer is in Chennai and in a jovial mood. He is producing another film Muni 3 under the direction of Raghava Lawrence.
