Journalists raised slogans demanding revocation of ban on relay of two channels

New Delhi: A day after Telugu journalists in Delhi protested against black-out of two Telugu channels in Telangana, the issue came up during a meeting between Chief

Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar.

Rao and Javadekar also discussed about the afforestation initiatives in the newly carved out state, sources said.

Earlier today, three journalists, who attempted to stage a protest outside the house, where Rao was staying, were evicted and taken to the Tughlak Road Police Station. They were released after some time, police said.

It may be recalled that protesting against black-out of two Telugu channels in Telangana, journalists belonging to Telugu language media houses yesterday staged a protest in front of the house.

The journalists had raised slogans demanding revocation of the ban on relay of two TV channels in Telangana.

Recently, ABN Andhra Jyoti and TV9, were blocked by Association of Telangana Multiple System Operators in Telangana. The broadcast of the two channels was blocked by the MSOs since June 16.
