Brett Lee to star in a Bollywood film

The former Australian cricketer will star opposite Tannishtha Chatterjee

New Delhi: Former Australian cricketer Brett Lee will be making his Bollywood debut. According to reports the actor will star in a film titled ‘UNINDIAN’. The film will be shot extensively in Sydney, Australia, and Lee has been cast opposite actress Tannishtha Chatterjee.

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who visited Mumbai said, “"...as I discovered yesterday, Australian cricketers are at least as revered in this country as at home and this will only increase now that Brett Lee is to become the latest Bollywood star in a new Indian-Australian film co-production,"

The film is said to be a romantic comedy. The story revolves around a single Australian parent of Indian origin (Played by Chaterjee) who meets Will (played Brett Lee). But love is the last thing she’s looking for.

Tannishtha has starred in a number of movies including the recent ‘Gulaab Gang’ that also featured Madhuri Dixit, and Juhi Chawla.

According to reports the film will go into production in October this year.
