The warnings are directly sent to the people who neglect to give their details to the dealers by the deadline

Officials started off issuing warnings to people who failed to provide the details. The district administration has recently announced that they would stop gas supply to the errant dealers who failed to collect details of Aadhaar from the consumers by end of August. But, the date was extended to September 7.

Now, the warnings are directly sent to the people who neglect to give their details to the dealers by the deadline. Otherwise, such gas consumers will be treated as fake ones and gas supply would automatically be stopped. There are 8.27 lakh gas connections in the district and 6.13 lakh were only from the city. Aadhaar seeding has been completed by 51 per cent in the city and 57 per cent in rural areas, according to officials by end of August.

Further, education department has also organised meet with the private and other central institutions for Aadhaar seeding and asked them to upload the data of students though they pursue education even in private institutions. The request for providing the data has finally turned out to be a mandatory aspect linking the process linking to release of funds and other benefits in the district.
