Red Sanders’ auction roadshow in China and other countries

As per Andhra PCF there has been a good response from countries like Japan, UAE

Hyderabad: In response to Andhra Pradesh government’s efforts to sell red sanders to generate funds for farm loan waiver and developing a new capital, nearly 157 prospective buyers have come from different countries in the past two weeks and inspected the godowns where the red sanders are stocked.

According to AP principal chief conservator of forests A.V. Joseph there has been a good response from countries like Japan, Hong-Kong, China, United Arab Emirates. “We are hoping to get a good price at in the auction,” said Mr Joseph.

The state government has allowed A.V. Joseph and additional PCCF (production) P.K. Jha to visit Hong Kong, Xianyou in China and Singapore from September 6-14, 2014 to conduct roadshows and pre-bid meetings at the expense of AP Forest Development Corporation, to be repaid after realisation of sale proceed of red sanders wood by the APFDC.

They will interact with possible international buyers of red sanders in all these places.
